AIG Life has introduced a number of underwriting changes in a bid to speed up the application process for customers.
The rules on AIG Life's underwriting engine are aimed at increasing online acceptances and reducing the number of GP reports it needs. New diabetes rules should meanwhile "halve" the number of questions the insurer asks, the company said. In addition, the default for blood tests is now "non-fasting" meaning customers no longer need to book morning appointments and will not have to cancel if they have forgotten to fast.
