Securing and managing data are the biggest problems financial services firms have been encountering in their GDPR preparations, according to managed IT services provider Claranet.

The firm surveyed 750 IT decision-makers for its report and two-thirds (69%) of respondents said they were not able to secure customer data effectively ahead of the General Data Protection Regulation's (GDPR) 25 May deadline, while almost half (45%) reported encountering challenges in securing customer details while trying to improve the digital user experience.
