Brewin Dolphin has purchased the financial planning and investment assets of Dundee-based IFA Clark Thomson MortgageFinders, adding 150 clients to the wealth manager's local office.
The acquisition - the purchase price of which is not being disclosed - resulted from the longstanding professional relationship between Clark Thomson MortgageFinders director and owner David Hogg and Brewin Dolphin's Dundee office head Ian MacDonald. Hogg is set to retire after 35 years in the industry. Brewin Dolphin's Dundee office was established in 1998 and currently has a team of 13.
