Franklin Templeton hires multi-asset manager from Aviva Investors

Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Aviva Investors' Brendan Walsh as portfolio manager in its multi-asset solutions team.

Effective from 8 October, Walsh will be responsible for developing the firm's multi-asset capabilities while also contributing to the asset allocation strategy. Based in London, he will report to Thomas Nelson, senior vice president and director of portfolio management at Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Solutions. Walsh spent eight years at Aviva Investors, most recently as a multi-asset fund manager. Prior to this, he was a quantitative analyst on Standard Life's Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) fund.
