Guardian FS tweaks systems following adviser pilot

Guardian Financial Services, which has been piloting its critical illness proposition prior to its market launch next week, has announced two 'small but significant' changes to its systems following feedback from advisers.

L&C, Paradigm, Sesame Bankhall and SimplyBiz have all been testing the Guardian systems and, as a result, various "teething problems" have been addressed and tweaks have been made following their suggestions. Guardian has added an extra ‘check' to the residency question. The firm said that it expects most advisers to answer ‘yes' to the residency question, but because it comes after a lot of medical questions with most requiring a ‘no', the insurer found it was getting some incorrect results.
