Helena Morrissey is leaving Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) after almost three years at the business.

Morrissey joined the investment company as head of personal investing in at the beginning of 2017 after spending 15 years as chief executive at Newton. She is a keen supporter of gender diversity and set up The 30% Club, which campaigns to raise female represetation in UK boardrooms to 30%.  Last month the Mail on Sunday reported Morrissey had been interviewed for governor of the Bank of England (BoE). If she were to succeed Carney, who is set to leave the role in January 2020, she would become the first female governor in the BoE's history.
