Pension savers have held off from making changes to their pensions despite nearly half having been impacted by the pandemic, research finds.
While 45% reported some impact on their personal finances or their employment, the majority (82%) had not amended their retirement savings, The People's Pension (TPP) said. A YouGov survey conducted last month with 2,084 adults, of whom 1,554 had a pension, found that just 2% had cut back on pension contributions since March - but another 2% had increased their contributions. Similarly, just 1% of workers had delayed their retirement plans while another 1% had brought them forward.
