The Money and Pensions Service's (MaPS) newly-launched consumer brand MoneyHelper shares a similar name to a company the Financial Conduct Authority warned consumers about in 2012.
Last week (18 March), MaPS launched its new brand MoneyHelper in a bid to focus on and improve consumer financial wellbeing. The new consumer brand will replace MaPs' three legacy services: the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise, which were unified and brought together under a single structure in 2019. Unfortunately, a firm that was deemed to be providing services without the FCA's permission more than five years ago shares a similar name with the news MaPS brand: Money Helpers.
