The majority of advised clients still struggle to understand the benefits of investment bonds, research from Sanlam UK has revealed.

However, the survey of 500 advised clients with more than £50,000 in investible assets, conducted by Technical Connection, found many were still interested in learning about the benefits of these bonds. Over half (56%) of survey respondents admitted they did not understand the tax deferment and tax efficiency benefits of investment bonds. Just under half of these (26%) said they would be keen to learn more.
