FSCS fails more advice firms as four shut up shop

Defaults on 7 and 17 May

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has declared another four advice firms in default since the start of May.

Brentwood-based IFA Home Counties dissolved on Monday (17 May), while Wrightway Financial Consultants, based in Sidcup dissolved on 7 May. Birmingham-based Knight Wealth Management Services and Sovereign Wealth Advisory, in Leicester, also failed that same day (7 May).  At the time of writing, one decision showed up on the Financial Ombudsman Service website for Wrightway Financial Consultants about pension annuity advice, but that was not upheld.
