The majority of investors believe they should factor climate change into their investment decisions but many are failing to act on the issue, research from Embark suggested.
Results of its Investor Confidence Barometer revealed that, while climate change is an issue on investors' priority list, half of respondents said it was not important when making portfolio decisions. Embark said this was particularly the case for the youngest investors, even though most do not believe it hinders returns. The survey is conducted every six months and questioned 1,000 people using the company Censuswide.
