NHS pension scheme reissuing statements after 2,800 errors

The NHS Pension Scheme has confirmed it will be reissuing statements to scheme members after nearly 3,000 erroneous statements were sent out by mistake.

The statements issued on 28 April, dated between 20-27 April, contained erroneous data. It is estimated that about 2,800 members were affected by the mistake. A spokesperson for the NHS Pensions scheme confirmed: "The error that is affecting a small number of statements appears to be in how the figures we provide are presented on the statement. "We're continuing to undertake robust checks to confirm that no other dates are affected. We have written directly to all members who may have been affected to let them know they will be receiving an updated statement." The error was first s...
