Advisers can do plenty to help self-employed people access protection and the various opportunities within the diverse market, according to Drewberry.
Speaking for Income Protection Awareness Week 2022 yesterday (20 October) co-founder Tom Connor explained Office for National Statistics (ONS) data shows there are roughly 4.25 million self-employed workers in the UK. "This is a huge proportion of the UK workforce, they all have one thing in common, they have no employer providing sick pay," said Connor.
