Kent-based H&F Financial has been declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) over three claims made against it.
The FSCS told Professional Adviser today (13 February) that the three claims were all related to pension transfer advice. It was also confirmed that the claims against the firm, which was based in Maidstone, were not related to the old British Steel Pension Scheme case. The Financial Conduct Authority's register lists Tunbridge Wells-based adviser Mark Hidson as the firm's director. According to Companies House records, Hidson was also previously a director at Susan Fleck Associates - a Kent firm that also declared in default by the FSCS back in 2019.
