Clearly nothing else was ever going to be top of the news chart this week but St James’s Place.
On Tuesday, the £5.6bn firm announced a complete overhaul of its fee structure, one which seems to have led to a tonne of confusion across the industry. Will it only benefit new clients? How are existing clients impacted? What about advisers? The move comes as a surprise to us all given outgoing chief executive Andrew Croft has vehemently defended firm's infamous approach to charging over the years.
