Defaqto unveils EIS and VCT ratings on back of MICAP deal

Star and Diamond ratings following its MICAP acquisition this year

Defaqto has expanded product ratings offerings following the acquisition of tax-advantaged investments specialist MI Capital Research (MICAP) earlier this year.

The provider unveiled the addition of ‘Star' and ‘Diamond' ratings for enterprise investment scheme (EIS) funds and venture capital trusts (VCTs). A product's Star rating is a measure of the quality of features whilst a Diamond rating is an indication of product performance. Defaqto said these two ratings are designed to "help advisers and consumers assess products at-a-glance".
