At 31, Jessica Rooney returned to her roots in Cheshire after spending much of her 20s in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Now 32, she reflects on the dramatic shifts in her life, moving from a high-flying career as an Emirates cabin crew member to becoming a financial adviser at Hoxton Wealth.

Rooney first moved to the UAE city of Dubai in 2015 after securing a position with Emirates as a cabin crew member, a role that initially seemed glamorous but ultimately became routine after five years of service. She served in both economy and business class, catering to passengers from all walks of life, including high-profile names like Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey.
