CISI welcomes 76 Certified financial planners

Number of UK CFP professionals continues to rise

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has welcomed 76 new Certified financial planners (CFP) in 2025.

This contributed to a rise in UK CFP numbers, the professional body set out, which currently stands at 1,098. The increase in the UK's CFP professionals aligns with the recent Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) announcement confirming global year-on-year growth of 2.5%, bringing the total to 236,300 in 2025, a net increase of 5,652 CFP professionals. The CFP designation – equivalent to a level 7 certification in the UK – is globally recognised as the "gold standard" in financial planning.
