Bring the bloggers into the social circuit

Not every intermediary is convinced by the need to have a web presence of some kind. But at an internal conference yesterday - all about online development - I learned a couple of interesting things which have made me think again about the potential development of the internet and how tomorrow's consumers might seek and act when gathering information.

In our case, the day was about the changing face of publishing in light of social networking through the internet, but it occurred to me along the way (being socially active online) that very few financial intermediaries appear to be active online and yet the benefits could outweigh the fears some have. To lay out a few basic details, much of what was discussed was about how humans network socially, share information, how they seek it and now how this has evolved thanks to the internet.
