Here's a common question: Does someone with no dependents need life cover? And here's a typical answer: No. But is it really that simple?
Many informed commentators (and websites too) suggest that, unless a person has a long term partner and/or children, life cover probably isn't necessary, and attempts to sell life cover to these people might be wrong. They are probably right, although I sometimes wonder if we've properly thought it through? "Does someone with no dependents need life cover?" You see, I'm not sure if this is the right question. Nor am I sure it is a fair or purposeful one. So how about this instead: "Does someone who will never have any dependents need life cover? "Ah - now I'm definitely moving toward...
