Pre-Retail Distribution Review (RDR) I was a long-term critic of APFA's previous incarnation, the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA), which should more properly have been renamed the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service due to its conciliatory agenda.
