As everyone is aware, the Budget has put us into the middle of a consultation on the future taxation of pensions. A quick snapshot of some of the surveys and research reports suggests to me that more people are in pension schemes (down to auto-enrolment) and there is greater interest in retirement and options on retirement (due to pension freedoms). We have structural changes in the state pension moving to a flat rate, but with the transitional complication of moving from one system to another.
