Last autumn, research from Unbiased suggested the number of people without a will in the UK was at an all-time high. With the amount of wills being found to be invalid or contested rising rapidly, however, there is also now growing concern relating to people not regularly updating their wills. The number of these cases handled at JMW has more than trebled in the past year, increasing by 343% from 2015/16 to 2016/17, as the first generation of ‘blended families' ages.
