Early intervention is a way in which insurers can engage and provide support for absent employees before a claim needs to be submitted and early intervention services have come a long way in the last 15 years or so. When they first became available, many suggested getting in contact around halfway through the policy deferred period (the length of time an employee needs to be absent before a claim could be submitted).
