Private equity has become a significant player in the wealth management and financial advice sector in the last few years. In 2020, we saw Carlyle, the private equity giant, buy Harwood Wealth Management for just shy of £91m. Meanwhile, Beech Tree Private Equity struck a deal with wealth consolidator Advanta Solutions to fund a multiple acquisition strategy.
