What a week! This time last Friday we had just had confirmation of the appointment of Jeremy Hunt as the new chancellor.
Now, in fairly unsurprising news, we know we are set for a new prime minister as well. The embattled Liz Truss stepped down from the post yesterday (20 October) after a turbulent six weeks in the top job. It's TBA still on whether she will be eligible for the yearly ex-PM allowance and included juicy pension provisions after serving just 44 days. On a different note, the team at PA were saddened to learn of the death of Transact co-founder and former chief executive (CEO) Ian Taylor this week after a short illness.
