Financial planner Elaine Milne recently posted on LinkedIn to address what she describes as "vitriolic hatred" directed at SJP. The post garnered 22,000 impressions, 200 reactions and more than 40 comments in three days. Here she explains why she "stuck her neck out"...

I've been on LinkedIn for years and never really used it much. As time has gone on, I've used it more proactively, to share my experiences and to promote myself and my business a little, although I am by no means a prolific poster.  I've been a financial planner for 26 years, moving to St. James's Place (SJP) in 2012 after various IFA roles.  As an IFA, I had quite a dim view of SJP, believing that their charges were high and their client offering was restrictive and substandard to what I was able to achieve for my clients.
