Hargreaves Lansdown sees record £7.6bn net new business in 2017/18

‘Client service key to structural growth’

Hargreaves Lansdown attracted £7.6bn of net new business over the 12 months to 30 June 2018 - a 10% rise on the preceding 12-month period and a new record for the UK's largest direct-to-investor investment service.

The group's annual results, published this morning, also revealed assets under administration had grown 16% to £91.6bn in the period under review, while the number of "active clients" was up by 137,000 to 1,091,000. Focusing on the client-focused nature of the business, chief executive Chris Hill said Hargreaves Lansdown's strategy was based on "the delivery of excellent client service through our interactions with our clients and the solutions we offer on our platforms".
