As one of the first exchanges to list and trade ETFs in Europe, SIX Swiss has seen the success story of these funds develop across the continent since it started in September 2000. The growth shows no signs of abating, with the exchange continuing to experience more listings from an increasing number of issuers, adding to the total of 340 funds listed as of the end of April. ETF turnover on the exchange is also on the rise, reaching over €36bn last year, up from €28bn in 2008.
