The Mixed Investment 0-35% Shares sector was launched in January 2012 as part of the Investment Management Association's (IMA) re-classification of its Mixed Investment groups. Under the new system, the Cautious, Balanced and Active Managed sectors were replaced with the Mixed Investment 20-60% Shares, Mixed Investment 40-85% Shares and Flexible Investment sectors respectively. The Mixed Investment 0-35% Shares sector is meant to house the lowest volatility funds.
