Martin Gray has managed the CF Miton Strategic Portfolio for over 15 years with the simple aim of keeping volatility down and protecting on the downside, while not missing out on upside opportunities. This strategy has seen him deliver impressive returns - the fund is up 32% over five years compared to the sector which is down 1.3% on average. However, Gray is not an advocator of peer group comparison in the non-homogenous Mixed Investment 40-85% sector.
