The number of people in the UK aged over 60 who divorce has been steadily rising since 1991, while the number of marriages ending in the death of a spouse has remained fairly constant. Whether they are a 'silver splitter' or the remaining half of a happy union, there are many widows, widowers and divorcee(s) who do decide to give marriage another try.
