When Donald Trump emerged victorious after securing the final electoral votes he needed to become US President-elect, there was a sharp intake of breath through much of the rest of the world. Arguably the most controversial US Presidential candidate in modern history, Trump is nothing if not a wildcard - and markets reacted accordingly as his win was confirmed.
