Disunity and disharmony supposedly characterise this sector that cannot even agree on basic principles. It is undoubtedly the case that the planning profession - or should that read industry? -  has not solved many of its post-Retail Distribution Review quarrels. Some of these do speak to the heart of what the job is about, and could probably use some agreed-upon standard. That said, is having opposing views on financial planning matters really that big a deal? Is it not the case that there are merits in both sides of most arguments, and that is something to cherish, not shut down? Ta...
