As current rates have brought the breakeven point for annuities holders closer by five years, Isabel Baxter speaks to advisers about their current experiences with the historically conservative product in recent months.

With the current attractiveness of the annuities market, advisers tell PA that the ‘hot market' may have a solid future. Castlefield financial advice team partner Matt Ralph says that as annuity rates have been rising, he has seen an "increased appetite" for securing income through an annuity from clients.
