Defaqto adds tracker funds to rating system

Defaqto has expanded its Diamond Rating system to include index tracker funds, incorporating Exchange Traded Funds and Open Ended Funds.

The Star Ratings system has been also been opened up to incoporate managed portfolio services on a platform, life assurance, and protection menu plans. Defaqto head of insight and consulting for funds Frank Potaczek said: "Defaqto launched the Diamond Ratings last year to add to the well-established Star Ratings. Diamond Ratings provide an independent assessment of both individual funds and fund families, making them unique in the ratings world.
