Following Aegon UK taking on Nationwide’s financial planning team to launch Aegon Financial Planning, Origen Financial Services – part of the Aegon group – chief executive Tim Orton sat down with Isabel Baxter to discuss how the transfer went

On 2 February, the transfer of 300 Nationwide Building Society staff to Aegon was completed and the new service now sits within the governance of Origen, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aegon UK. Aegon's partnership with Nationwide goes back a number of years, Orton notes. Aegon UK has been Nationwide's investment partner since 2016, providing access to Aegon's products advised by Nationwide's in-house financial planning service.
