Professional Adviser was joined by Technical Connection's John Woolley, Edward Grant and Samantha Kaye for a post-Budget rundown, hosted by Cofunds, of the key points affecting advisers and their clients

Chancellor Philip Hammond may have refrained from introducing any dramatic changes to pension tax relief in his first - and last Spring Budget - but, said Technical Connection director John Woolley, there was still "plenty for advisers to sink their teeth into". He pointed to the National Insurance (NI) contribution hike on the self-employed as one of the key points to catch advisers' attention. As to whether the changes would deter those considering starting their own business, however, he said: "True entrepreneurs won't be put off by an extra 2% NI - they're thinking bigger picture." ...
