Morgan Stanley Dean Witter has launched two funds under its Luxembourg-based Sicav umbrella, the MSDW Emerging Europe Fund and MSDW European Growth Opportunities. MSDW Emerging Europe Fund, managed by John Pollen, is denominated in euros and focuses on Russia, Israel, Poland and Hungary. The fund will be overweight Russia and Hungary and hopes to outperform the MSCI Emerging Europe and Middle East index. Investment strategy for the fund will be 80% bottom up and 20% top down.
