UK investors now have easier access to the Luxembourg-based US fund run by Merrill Lynch (MLIM) CIO Bob Doll, as well as open-ended energy and mining funds, after they received distributor status. MLIM has achieved distributor status for 11 equity vehicles and one bond fund from its Luxembourg Sicav range. Doll, who is also president of MLIM, runs the $940.3m MLIIF US Flexible Equity fund, which, depending on the market outlook, invests in shares which have either growth or value characteristics.
