Standard Bank has sold its Asian private banking business to Clariden Leu, a member of Credit Suisse Group.
Clariden Leu is a private bank with assets under management of approximately US$100bn. Eight employees of Standard Bank’s private banking business will be joining the Clariden Leu Hong Kong office. Standard Bank’s existing corporate trust and fiduciary services and the marketing of asset management and offshore services through professional intermediaries in Asia will continue with dedicated staff based in Hong Kong.
