Witan Investment Trust, the £1.16bn multi-manager global growth investment trust, has hired a new CEO to replace Jim Horsburgh, who will retire at the end of October after five years in the role.
Robert Clarke joins from Majedie Investments, another self-managed investment trust, where he was CEO. He starts at Witan on 15 September allowing for a transition period between CEOs. Witan is also hiring Mark Lynam to the newly created position of chief investment officer. During the past two years Mark Lynam’s investment consultancy business, icf, has been retained by Witan and was significantly involved in the appointment of Comgest, Thomas White and more recently Varenne Capital Partners to Witan’s multi-manager roster.
