Political friction in countries across Asia is presenting investors with significant challenges, but also opportunities says Franklin Templeton fund manager Mark Mobius.
The issues may not be new, but the struggles between reformers and "old guard" are becoming increasingly bitter. Improved communications, which means more people have more information about issues to hand, increasing frustration with continued corruption, and a developing generation gap between those who have no memory of “hard times” and those who are pushing for change are key factors.
