The FTSE 100 Index has added 36 points, or 0.6%, to 6127.7 points this morning, paced by DSG International and Kingfisher.
DSG has gained 4p, or 2.2%, to 189p after Deutsche Bank raised its price estimate on the shares to 225p from 210p, citing increasing confidence in the company's prospects. Kingfisher has added 3.75p, or 1.6%, to 240.75p as Lehman Brothers Holdings upgraded its recommendation to "overweight" from "underweight". BP has increased 4.5p, or 0.7%, to 689p after crude oil rose for a second day in New York as Iran rejected a United Nations call to hold direct talks with the US to help quell rising diplomatic tensions over Iran's nuclear research.
