The UK has entered a full blown recession and IFAs should be looking at UK gilts to safeguard client assets, City Financial's Ian Williams says.
Williams, the City Financial Strategic Gilt fund manager, expects a recessionary environment to be “extremely favourable” for the gilt market. He feels IFA should not sit on their hands and treat a recession as nothing other than a “certainty”. Williams, who steered his fund to the top of the IMA UK Gilt sector in 2007, says the UK faces a sustained economic downturn. "The news needn’t be all bad.
