National Savings clears up confusion over closing account

The National Savings and Investment (NS&I) has announced its Investment Account is not closing.

There had been some concern in the market that the account was to be closed. Confusion arose after the Ordinary Account was closed at the end of July. NS&I does point out Ordinary Account holders do have to act as the accounts will be operational only to withdraw funds or close the account. “We would like to reassure all Investment Account customers that their accounts are not closing and they can continue to use them in exactly the same way as they always have done,” said John Prout, sales director at NS&I. “It is the Ordinary Account that has closed and if you have one of these y...
