Asia's Hitachi to offer ASU thru Webline

Hitachi, Asia's third largest company, is moving further into the UK protection market with a new ASU offering through Webline, the quotes portal has confirmed.

The company’s accident, sickness and unemployment (ASU)offering should be available sometime this month, and adds to the company’s business in the payment protection, mortgage payment protection and guaranteed asset protection markets. Paul Holland, Webline managing director, says the emergence of Hitachi into the ASU market potentially indicates a massive challenge to incumbents given the company's ability to capitalise an aggressive pricing strategy.
