Intermediaries spend on IT without support - Assureweb

Resarch into IT spending by intermediaries has found half spent up to £5,000 in the year to March but that 43% of advisers claim they are not getting enough IT support.

Some 20% of intermediaries spent more than £10,000 in the period, the NMG/Assureweb research has found. Lack of support means users may be taking on technology without access to the wider benefits such technology can bring, Assureweb says. “Advisers are becoming far more demanding and will increasingly turn to those providers that can provide a complete solution of technology and ongoing support, meaning those that fail to deliver will find it difficult to survive,” says Stephen Wynne-Jones director of strategy at Assureweb.
