Halifax to offer 6% on regular savings

Halifax is launching a regular savings account with 6% gross interest, providing the sum is held for at least 12 months.

Due for launch on March 1st, the Halifax Regular Saver allows anyone over the age of 16 to invest between £25 and £250 per month for a 12-month consecutive period and then convert the investment and capital to an instant access savings account, such as Halifax Web Saver, Halifax Premium Savings Direct or the Halifax Instant Saver account. Any plan which does not last the full 12 months will be given the same interest as that offered on the Halifax Web Saver – currently set at 4.3% gross. IFAonline
