The Chartered Insurance Institute has revealed Financial Planning Certificate exams will be held for the last time in July 2005, to make way for its new examinations and training regime.
Details of the CII 2005 Training Directory indicate training and exams will no longer be offered from July next year, as the professional body has now gained accreditation from the Financial Services Skills Council for its proposed Certificate in Financial Planning (CFP). Instead of completing FP1, 2 and 3 to qualify as a recognised financial intermediary, advisers will be required to complete several of the new modules listed under the CII’s CFP.
